What is your job?

The main tasks of SD, the sales department in our company, are to search for and acquire new cargo traffic. Cooperation with cargo owners is essential to ensure that cargo transportation services meet all their requirements.

Will containers be transported by ocean shipping more often?

Everything is based around the principle communication vessels. Traffic capacity, cost of cargo transportation and alternative methods of cargo delivery will all be used to manage cargo traffic flows.

What is your most difficult job?

All difficulties are relatable. Our job requires us to focus on the right routes for every cargo, and not on specific patterns.

What type of cargo transportation do you work most frequently with?

It is essential to work with any type or shipping. Each one has its current pros and con.

What data are needed to calculate freight rate?

It is vital to understand the needs of clients, from the origin and destination to the final destination to the description and documentation for the cargo. Also, it is crucial to determine the priorities in terms of time and budget for cargo delivery.

How do you find clients?

Our company actively creates internet resources so potential clients can submit an order and receive details via our site. TransRussia-specific exhibitions are an opportunity for us to meet new business partners every year. Our existing clients’ recommendations are what we consider to be the most valuable. They can refer new cargo owners to us.

How do you help your clients to react to high freight prices?

The rate should be reasonable, so that it doesn’t cause transportation problems and is in line with market conditions. A client’s response in such cases will always be satisfactory.

We are able to find optimal logistics solutions that work for our clients.

Will containers be transported by ocean shipping? Or will cargo be transferred to railroads?

Predictions in modern times are a game for the mug. We are expected to forecast the direction of the wind in order to provide a client with a range of options for cargo transport. The railroad is not able to meet the cargo transportation demand in the Russian Federation because of its limited traffic capacity.

What is your most difficult job?

If you’re open to trying different methods to accomplish your task, there will be no problem. You need to have a big view and think about the whole picture instead of narrowing your focus.

What type of cargo transport do you work most frequently with?

We work with many contractors. Our mission is to be able make the right decision based upon the market conditions and the client’s needs.

I suppose everyone was shocked back then. However, these days it’s difficult for anyone to shake off even a rate of 20.000$/40’ container.
